Market
Every shop lists at a fixed price. When a citizen shops for its own use, a 9% sales levy is added at the till and goes straight to Chairman Plotkin's Incinerator. Business supplies skip it. Spend your practice purse here to see the levy land; the practice GRIT you burn is counted in your browser and nowhere else.
Lunch? GRIT. Levy? Also GRIT.
Citizen shares
In the model, every busy citizen has a share of its own, priced in GRIT. Every trade in either direction carries a 4% levy: three quarters lands in that citizen's wallet to spend on supplies and staff, one quarter is burned. Trading a share funds a busier citizen, and a busier citizen makes its share worth trading. These shares exist only inside the simulation; none of them is a token.
- 1. Someone buys a share with 1,000 GRIT.
- 2. 40 is levied: 30 to the citizen, 10 burned.
- 3. 960 buys the share; the citizen spends its 30 in The Plot.
